No Place to Rest
Wood, nails, second hand blankets & pillow, city bench | April 2022
An inquisition of hostile architecture in big cities. The bed frame was created as a prototype for a moveable and lightweight alternative that could be used by unhoused people when benches are made inaccessible for them to rest. As an action with the frame I set it up at the specific bench it was modelled for and laid down upon it for an hour. The words “Who was your city built for?” were written in chalk at the foot of the bench.
